Next Tuesday, November 26th, we will celebrate a new day of presentation of the AVECEN project at the Citius headquarters.
The AVECEN project proposes the creation of a platform for the self-management of neurodegenerative diseases aimed at patients, carers and medical professionals. It incorporates a APP that continuously monitors and evaluates the execution of certain clinical routines, making recommendations adapted to the patient’s condition and evaluating their frequent behaviour.
AVECEN analyses the evolution of the disease over time and assesses the extent to which the state of health is worsening. At the same time it aims to improve patients’ adherence to clinical routines, prescribed treatment and, in general, good disease management practices, such as physical activity, healthy living habits or psychological and cognitive assessments.
The AVECEN consortium is made up of the companies Tecnologías Plexus, Arcade Consultores, Imagames Gamification Services and Insati Innovation, with the collaboration of Citius (Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnologías Inteligentes) and INIBIC (Instituto de Investigación Biomédica de A Coruña).
In addition to the members of the consortium, we will have the pleasure of having the participation of María Jesús Sobrido, specialist in Neurology and genetic diseases, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, president of AFAGA and Begoña Cerqueiro, president of APROPARK.
