On Friday, 26 September, our colleague Lizbet Gutiérrez participated in G-Night 2025 (Galician Researchers’ Night) in Vigo, alongside the team from the Evolutionary Genetics and Biodiversity Conservation Group (XB2) at CIM-UVigo.
At the stand ‘Os animaliños das nosas praias e o seu ADN’ (The animals of our beaches and their DNA), dozens of people (children, families and curious visitors of all ages) were able to discover some of the mussel predators identified in the SIGMA project.
Thank you to everyone who came to the Redeiras Building and the Berbés square to share this open and participatory science experience with us. We would like to extend our gratitude to the University of Vigo and the Marine Research Centre (CIM-UVigo) for promoting the initiative, as well as to the researchers with whom we shared an inspiring day of Galician science.
SIGMA is co-financed with funds from the Industrial Doctorates programme of the Regional Government of Galicia (Department of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training).
