Today, 5 May 2026, the inauguration of the Vigo Living Lab took place, during which the agreements signed with the 8 companies participating in this pioneering initiative, promoted as part of the INNOV4LIFE project, were formally handed over.
The event was attended by the Regional Minister for Health of the Xunta de Galicia, Antonio Gómez Caamaño, the manager of the Vigo Health Area of the Galician Health Service, Javier Puente, the manager of ACIS (Galician Health Knowledge Agency), Antonio Fernández-Campa, and its Director of the Health Development and Innovation Department, José María Romero, and the International Project Manager for Porto4Ageing at the University of Porto, Joana Carrilho.
During the event, our team had the opportunity to speak with professionals from the Dementia Unit at Meixoeiro Hospital, with whom we will share this exciting process of co-creation and clinical validation alongside staff from the Vigo Health Area.
Furthermore, we met up again with the team from AFAGA Alzheimer, with whom we continue to pursue this path of applying innovative technology with a social impact.
Having successfully completed various clinical studies in social and healthcare settings in Spain and Singapore, including day centres and care homes, our participation in the Vigo Living Lab represents a very important step towards validating our technology in a hospital setting.
